Directions to Main Festival Event Locations

 

LIBERTY PARK 
Main festival grounds for our 3-day festival weekend (July 26-28) which features the Nibble of Renton food vendors, Art Market – arts and crafts, two entertainment stages, community information booths, several FREE activities for kids, and Saturday’s Chalk Art Contest.

 

From Northbound I-405 (from I-5 and the Southcenter area) and from Hwy 167:
Take Exit #4 Bronson Way (the Maple Valley Hwy Exit, follow the Bronson Way off ramp).  At the end of the ramp turn right, stay in the middle lane going under the freeway.  Proceed straight approximately two blocks and you will see Liberty Park on your left.

 

From Southbound I-405 (from I-90 and Bellevue):
Take Exit #4, Maple Valley/Enumclaw Exit and follow the off-ramp merging with Sunset Blvd. to the second light.  Take a right onto Bronson Way and Liberty Park will be on your left.

 

CEDAR RIVER PARK & THE RENTON COMMUNITY CENTER 

 

Wenatchee Youth Circus performances (July 26-27), Sunday’s BMW Car Show (July 28), and Renton Annual Art Show (July 25-28).  Cedar River Park is also home to the Henry Moses Aquatics Center.  Parking at Cedar River Park and the Renton Community Center will be difficult.  Renton River Days recommends parking at “Narco,” a former mill site at the base of Renton Hill and underneath I-405, accessed at the intersection of S. 3rd St., Mill Ave. and Houser Way.  You can park and then cross the foot bridge (under I-405) and go over the Cedar River.  Cedar River Park is also easily accessible on foot from the main festival grounds of Liberty Park by walking underneath I-405.

 

From the South:

 

Follow I-405 North.  Take Exit 4 (the Maple Valley/Enumclaw Exit).  At the end of the off-ramp take a right.  Go straight for approximately 200 feet.  At the stop light, a sign for the Renton Community Center/Cedar River Park will be visible on the right-hand side of the street.

 

From the North:

 

Take I-405 South.   Take Exit 4 merging onto Sunset Blvd.  Proceed straight through the first stop light.  At the second stoplight, take a left, onto Maple Valley Hwy.  It will lead you back under I-405.  Continue going straight, approximately 500 feet.  The Renton Community Center and Cedar River Park are on the right-hand side of the street.

 

Public Parking

 

Public parking is available at the Renton Community Center, in the downtown, and local area adjacent side streets.  Ample parking is available at the downtown parking garage, City Center Parking, located at the corner of South 2nd Street between Burnett and Logan, or at Renton Memorial Stadium with a short three block walk down the beautiful Cedar River Trail that will lead you directly to Liberty Park.  Parking is also available at what is locally referred to as “Narco”, a former mill site at the base of Renton Hill and underneath I-405, accessed at the intersection of S. 3rd St., Mill Ave. and Houser Way.  You can park and then cross the foot bridge (under I-405) and go over the Cedar River.  Go left back towards Liberty Park and you’ll see the Skate Park and Liberty Park. 

 

Avoid Parking Hassles – Take the Free Shuttle!

Avoid downtown parking hassles and congestion by taking advantage of the free festival shuttle service which will connect you to parking at Renton Memorial Stadium and our main festival grounds at Liberty Park.  Stay all day, but leave time to get back to your car at the end of the day.  

Free, continuous shuttle service will be available:

 

  • Friday, July 26, 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 27, 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 28, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
    From the following two locations:

  • Renton Memorial Stadium located on Logan Ave. N., next to the Cedar River (Parking)
  • Liberty Park on Bronson Way N., near the tennis courts
    (Stage entertainment, food, arts and craft booths)

Look for the sandwich signs that read, “River Days Shuttle Stop.”

 

STREET CLOSURES during IKEA Renton River Days

  • Houser Way S. between Mill Avenue and Bronson Way will be closed at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, and will reopen at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 29.
  • The Renton River Days Parade, beginning at 10:00 a.m., will be on Saturday, July 27 and travels down South 3rd Street from Shattuck Avenue to Liberty Park. In order to form the Parade, South 3rd Street between Rainier and Houser Way will be closed to all traffic and parking from 7:00 a.m. until completion of the Parade at approximately 1:00 p.m. All side streets adjacent to and leading to South 3rd Street will be restricted to local access only during the same time period.
