About Renton River Days
July 24 – 26, 2020; in Liberty ParkRenton River Days is an annual multi-day family festival and celebration of community pride, joining residents, businesses, organizations, and Puget Sound tourists together for a wonderful variety of events, special features for kids, arts and crafts, recreation, food, and stage entertainment at Liberty Park and Cedar River Park.
Greetings from Renton River Days (RRDs)!
As Renton joins others across the state, nation, and globe in working to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to make sure you’d heard the news that the RRDs festival and accompanying events, as have been historically planned and produced, are not allowed and regrettably cancelled for this year. For 35 years, the 501c4 nonprofit of RRDs, working in partnership with the City of Renton and many community stakeholders and partners, has been privileged to plan and produce Renton’s community family festival, serving the greater Renton community and Puget Sound region.
This is a time to be considering new possibilities and thinking creatively. You are invited to share feedback on how we help events and activities in the Renton community adapt, change and succeed together. If you have ideas for future consideration, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The RRDs volunteer Board of Directors will continue to work through this year and into next to plan a great event for 2021. We hope you, too, will remain committed to this wonderful community event as we look forward to better times ahead. For now, please stay tuned to the Renton River Days Facebook page. We are helping to cross-promote various family-friendly Renton-based programming, as well as promote activities and efforts led by our longtime festival partners and sanctioned event committees.
We are in this together and the safety of our communities is paramount. Please stay informed, follow the recommendations of your local health authorities, and be well.
