Volunteer

Volunteer during festival weekend by helping in the Information Booth, the Urban Market, the Parade, or be a part of the “Sparkle Team” and help keep our festival footprint free of litter. Most tasks are outdoors and require physical ability. Festival volunteers should be friendly, responsible and people oriented. Most tasks require volunteers be 16 years of age or older. Volunteering during the summer may be a way for youth to work towards accredited volunteer hours for the following school year. Email: info@rentonriverdays.org.

Volunteer opportunities include:
  • River Days Parade: Help with Parade-related activities such as staging entries on side streets and serving as a banner carrier. Meet Parade Chair Nancy at the registration area for instruction on the north side of McLendon’s on 3rd Place.
  • The River Days Urban Market: Help with vendor load-in on Friday, July 22, and vendor break-down Saturday evening, July 23.
  • Entertainment Stage at Piazza Park in downtown Renton on July 22-23. Assist long-time festival volunteer Jeff Lukins who serves as master emcee & stage manager with artist changeovers in between bands and performers on the entertainment stage. Lifting and physical abilities required.
  • “Sparkle Team”: Join the team that rolls up their sleeves and gets busy – picking up litter and keeping our festival footprint free of debris.
